Watching a community of people worldwide rally around Dana to celebrate Dave's life is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. People that knew Dave personally and people that never even met him are being touched by his story--his story of courage, integrity, character and faith.
And the 37,000 people are just a fraction of the lives Dave influenced. Dave's zest for life was contagious and will continue to be. His joy and passion for living live on.
Dave was a game changer. He was a difference maker. When people wanted something done, they turned to Dave. When a friend needed someone to trust, they turned to Dave. When the coaches for the track & field team at the Air Force Academy needed a captain, they turned to Dave. He was a caring, compassionate and godly man. His life is proof that one man CAN make a difference.
Although we all believe his life ended too soon, let's celebrate the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. The memories. The laughs. The tears. And his precious family especially his darling wife Dana and Colt--their canine child and pride and joy.
