I want to do the biggest and the best! I want to make a difference.
I want to be a game-changer, world-changer, shaker and mover for change.
I want to leave the world better than how I found it. I want to leave my stamp on
the world--my fingerprints--my footprint saying:
"She was here and she made this place just a little better by being here."
Don't we all want that? Don't we all want meaningful, significant lives? Don't we all want to be remembered? Not so much as how much money we saved up or how big our house was or the title we held in the company. BUT be remembered for the number of lives we changed, influenced, touched? Don't we all crave that kind of impact--a legacy that lives on long after we are gone?
So what is greatness? We have this idea that greatness is doing what we deem as "the biggest and the best." That means being in the spotlight, getting recognition for our efforts, being noticed... We want to be the star, not the back-up singer. We want to be the president, not the vice-president. We want to be front and center.
We got to start trading in our view of greatness for real, authentic, humble greatness. Greatness that doesn't wait for the right time and circumstances to act. Greatness that doesn't wait for their ship to come in.
True greatness is HERE. NOW. THIS MOMENT. TODAY. Greatness is doing the small things with care, diligence and faithfulness. Mother Teresa said:
