I'll tell you how it happened: ONE day at a time.
It's a fact of life. We have to face it. Time is constantly moving. It's like currency. It doesn't stop. You can't rewind. You can't fast forward. It is constant.
We can either be slaves to time or make time work for us. I prefer the latter, but often I feel like the former. It's during those times when I start to feel out of whack, off balance, no margin, no time, too busy....that I must stop. Sit. Breathe. Re-evaluate. Re-prioritize and ask myself: am I spending time where it counts? Am I spending my days on what I value?
There is no such thing as being "too busy" for something. We spend our time on what we value. I once heard someone say, "show me your planner and I'll tell you what you care about."
How true is that, but scary too! What we value is based on the amount of time we assign to it. If someone looked at my planner would they think? I read this quote today:
“The best use of life is love.
The best expression of love is time.
The best time to love is now.”
Life is fair when it comes to time. We all have 24 hours in each day--it doesn't matter how old you are, how young, what your skin color is, what your education background is, your job title, your religious beliefs...we each have 24 hrs in a day. It's up to us how we choose to spend the time we have!
