Pearls are short messages sent periodically (up to several times a week) via email and text message. They are meant to encourage, inspire and challenge readers. Think of them as food for thought.

I love pearls. They are each unique and special in their own way. They come in all different shapes, sizes and colors. A pearl is formed when an irritant (i.e. a grain of sand) enters a mollusk (i.e. an oyster). In an effort to protect itself, the oyster forms layers of nacre around the irritant. Given time a pearl is made.
Similar to our lives: we have many irritants enter our shells and cause chaos and confusion. At first glance we wonder how any good can come from these setbacks. How can we ever find the rainbow in these rain clouds? But given time, patience, perseverance and trust, that irritant (change, loss, struggle, heartbreak…) can turn into a priceless gem.
A grain of sand today can be a pearl tomorrow.
Note: normal texting charges apply for text messages.
