Looking back over the past 28 days, I stand in awe. There were high highs and low lows. Victories and Challenges. I grew by leaps and bounds spiritually, relationally, mentally and emotionally. Had I known what the month would hold, I probably would've skipped straight to march. ;) LOL!
Here are a few highlights and a snapshot into my Life--enjoy!
Ok, x just happened. I don't like it. It's uncomfortable. Why did it happen? Did I contribute to the problem? Could I have done something differently? What can I learn from it? How can I use this messy experience to prepare me and make me stronger for the future? What does God want to teach me through this?
Friends, Life is full of challenges. We can either complain about them or LEARN from them. I choose the latter.
Right now it's just something I do on the side, but I love seeing some of my passions, interests and experiences intersect and collide. Who knows, I might be evolving into a foodie/health/wellness/writer/speaker/entrepreneur of sorts. We shall see! ;)
This month I got to road trip through Europe with the family I work for: 1 van, 3 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby make for an exciting holiday!!! We spent a week in Seefeld, Austria in the Tirol region (host to the 1964 & '76 Winter Olympic Games). It was a working holiday for me meaning I had some work responsibilities, but also some time for personal fun!
I tried my hand at snowboarding and cross-country skiing (my ass still hurts!!! Uhhh let's just say the 20+ years of swimming has turned me into a fish! LOL!). I visited the highest point in Germany (Zugspitze) overlooking the Alps = speechless. It almost felt sacrilegious taking photos trying to capture the BEAUTY when you realize no words or photo can capture the TRUE essence of BEAUTIFUL. We can try, but we come up short.
On the way home we stopped in Salzburg, Austria -- home of Mozart and The Sound of Music. Julie Andrews and the von Trapp family have a special spot in my heart so that was a lot of fun! I felt like Maria would pop-up arond the next corner singing, These Are A Few of My Favorite Things!
