Can you relate? Ever feel this way? Does discouragement got you down?
Sometimes holidays (or even the weekends) can get us feeling lousy. They are a break from our normal, "treadmill" like lives. We love them, but we dread having to return to the job, to the normal, to the everyday once they're over. We wish the holiday (or weekend) could just last forever. We wish we could spend time with family and friends every day (or maybe just in moderation!). How about we exchange gifts, stay in our PJs, indulge in goodies, take an afternoon nap, watch a movie (or two in my case today!) and make the day stretch for a whole week or two--what if we did that every day?
Why does the "Monday" after the holiday have to come?
There is an ebb and flow to life--a season and time for everything. Instead of dreading the "Monday" to come--the post-holiday chaos, just enjoy the day. Enjoy being alive. Enjoy the opportunity to live. Regardless of your present circumstances, know that God's greatest gift to you is LIFE--the opportunity to live here and now "for such a time as this."
You are valuable. You are loved. You matter. You are unique. You are a BIG piece in God's puzzle.
And now that Christmas has come and gone, make a pact to live a WONDER-full life. Every day can be Christmas--every day can be a holiday when we live in the Place of Gratitude. Let's open our hearts and hands to experience WONDER every day!
